12 instructional faculty members earn promotions

LAWRENCE — Twelve people at the University of Kansas Lawrence and Edwards campuses have earned instructional faculty promotions.
Promotions for instructional faculty are determined and awarded through school or departmental reviews, which concluded in the early summer. Promotions for tenure-track faculty and scholarly positions follow a separate process that includes review by the University Committee on Promotion and Tenure and final approval by the chancellor.
Barbara A. Bichelmeyer, chief academic officer/provost & executive vice chancellor, and Amy Mendenhall, vice provost for faculty affairs, extended their joint congratulations.
“These educators have demonstrated a clear dedication to teaching and mentoring, serving as models of success in higher education,” they said in a statement. “We commend their commitment and service to the university and empowering future leaders of the world.”
The promotions became effective by the start of the fall 2025 semester, except where noted.
