Lauren Spain-Eddington

Lauren Spain-Eddington (she/her) serves as the Assistant Director of the Undergraduate Biology Program. Lauren attended the University of Kansas where she earned her BA in Human Biology. After attending KU, Lauren earned her M.S.Ed. in Higher Education & Student Affairs from Indiana University. Lauren has worked in a variety of advising roles since she was an undergraduate student and also has experience working in career development, enrollment management, student advocacy, and new student orientation. She joined the Undergraduate Biology in October 2018. Lauren coordinates the BIOL 105 Biology Orientation Seminar course, advises the Biology Majors Advisory Committee (BMAC), and is chair of the DEI Committee for Undergraduate Biology.

You can typically find Lauren reading a book, enjoying restaurants in downtown Lawrence, or attending a concert or musical. She also enjoys sharing photos of her cat, Ginny.
